Everest region has always been a milestone for the trek and nature lovers. From the high mountain peaks to the deep white gorges to the alpine forests, everything in this area is a work of nature. With the mystic eastern Himalayas accompanying you Renjo La via Nangpa La Trek will take you to the heart of the Khumbu region. With the local cultural Sherpa villages, to the picturesque view of the Himalayas to the pristine Gokyo Lake, the amount of ecstasy that one may get from this trip is remarkable.

Keeping the beauty aside, the difficulty level is nothing to smirk at. The high passes have altitude of 5,360 for Renjo La and 5,806m for Nangpa La. Novice trekkers are not recommended to take this arduous task. Altitude sickness is one thing that must be carefully addressed as it is prominent in higher altitudes. High passes are rather hard to conquer so we recommend prior trekking experience. Similarly, the trails are rocky and hardly plain which may provide further challenge.

Even among the various treks in the Everest region, the Renjo La via Nangpa La Trek is one to look out for. The high passes are exquisite and provides some of the best view of the surrounding Himalayas. Throughout this godly journey, trekkers can enjoy the view of the majestic mountains,

Volunteer’s initiative Nepal welcomes you to venture on this blissful trek. We will make sure that you will see the end of this journey. Not only will you feel the ecstasy of the trip but also you will be contribution something to the society of the country which you travelled in.

As with most other trip to the Everest region, Renjo La via Nangpa La Trek starts with the flight to one of the most dangerous yet popular Lukla Airport. We move to the tourist hotspot of Namche Bazar which itself is located at the height of 3,440m. From Lumde we move to the famous Gokyo Ri (5,360m) which houses the serene Gokyo Lake, one of the major attraction of the tour. We also cross the Ngonumpa Glacier and cross another of the high pass the Cho La. From there we will carry on to the second of the three major passes the Nangpa- La and finally to Renjo La. Then, we trek back to Lukla via Thyangboche monastery- the biggest monastery in the entire Khumbu region. Similarly, the high peaks like Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Pumori becomes more visible.

The best time for this trek would be during Spring (March – May) and Autumn (September – December). The climate is fine for trek and the beautiful mountain views and scenery. After spring, the monsoon ray may hinder the trek and post autumn may invite winter which is not a good season for trekking. The high altitude sickness will be even more rampant during this time.

Trekkers will never be traveling alone. Our expert guide will be there in every steps of the way, giving appropriate tips to make the job even easier. The porter will handle your luggage so you can take the full advantage of the trip. Along the way, various Sherpa villages will be our stop which is filled with the friendly and welcoming villagers.
